Stuff from the imaginary box of the things i'm doing, with intermission from the stuff i love to see.

Artist Isaac Cordal (tumblr / facebook) - “With the simple act of miniaturization and thoughtful placement, Isaac Cordal magically expands the imagination of pedestrians finding his sculptures on the street. Cement Eclipses is a critical definition of our behavior as a social mass. The art work intends to catch the attention on our devalued relation with the nature through a critical look to the collateral effects of our evolution. With the master touch of a stage director, the figures are placed in locations that quickly open doors to other worlds. The scenes zoom in the routine tasks of the contemporary human being”.

If you cant attend life drawing sessions. This is the best thing for you

Let me show you something I recently found : Croquis Cafe!

You get to see models of different colors and shapes in a life drawing setting. They move and breath while posing (breathing like in real life :O) ambient music is playing in the background and you have 1, 2  and 5 minute sessions. I find it very helpful , you should try it.

I do not need to be a famous comic book artist. I need to be a comic book artist. It took just getting to a really low place to be able to say, I need to be a comic book artist. I can put out a couple comics a year and if that’s what I can do, that’s what I’ll do.

I love comics. I hate when people refer to it as a fallback gig. If you are here, you are here because you want to do comics.

Michael Avon Oeming, quoted in Words For Pictures by Brian Michael Bendis (via comicquotations)

Ladies and gentlemen: The Amazing @oeming! I love it.

Its funny… so many other very successful and talented people who may be very accomplished musicians, actors, directors, animators, painters… will tell me that they are really looking forward to making their own comic and getting into comics. And some of them do.
And some of them do it very well.
It showed me at an early age that comics are a medium that accomplished creators of other mediums very much respect and desire.
